I recently concluded a 10-month engagement with Ngati Awa Social & Health Services Trust, a major Iwi-owned health organization. In this role, I was tasked with modernizing their enterprise-level Microsoft system.
I successfully identified key inefficiencies and redeveloped their internal platform, demonstrating my ability to analyze and improve complex business systems to enhance organizational productivity.
Entrepreneurial Leadership & Digital Strategy
2003 - 2019
I founded Real Digital Ltd and grew it from a simple website company into a full-service digital agency with ten employees and hundreds of clients. For over 15 years, I guided SMEs through the evolving digital landscape, building long-term partnerships by delivering effective online marketing, web development, and automation solutions. This experience honed my skills in every facet of business management, from sales and customer acquisition to staff leadership and strategic planning.
Corporate Sales & Executive Leadership
1991 - 2003
Prior to my entrepreneurial career, I rose through the ranks of corporate sales and management at prominent companies like BJ Ball Papers and Securacopy. As an Executive Manager at BJ Ball, I was a member of the leadership team responsible for a division with $100 million in annual sales, managing high-performing teams and complex logistics in a high-stakes environment.
Foundations in Technology
1980 - 1991
My career began as a Radio Technician with the NZPO, where I worked on the maintenance and development of national telecommunication networks. A highlight of this period was my involvement in developing the remote radio systems that served as the precursor to New Zealand’s first mobile telephone network, cementing my identity as a lifelong technologist and innovator.
